“Black and brown male achievement means to have effective and efficient tools to learn” – Donald Garner, MPA, MSW, Ph.D. In an inspiring and open dialogue, Dr. Garner joins the Black Doctoral Network Podcast, to discuss the plight facing African American Males and how the initiatives and teaching framework he is using within the community, his non-profit, and teaching are making a difference.

 

Dr. Garner graduated from Fordham University, where he received his Doctorate in Social Service, Social Work, and Policy. He attended Florida State University where he received his Master’s in Social Work. Not only is Dr. Garner a research scholar, but he is an Urban Faith Leader, the Director of Programming with the Black Doctoral Network, and is the Founder of The Eagle Academy Foundation which has a primary goal to aid young African American men in becoming successful academically, professionally and socially.
